Stumpkin and the other pumpkins wait at the market, excited to get purchased and turned into a Jack-o'-lantern. The days go by and the other pumpkins are purchased, but no one seems to want a pumpkin who is missing his stump. Halloween comes and Stumpkin is the last one left. Will he ever be chosen by someone? Will he ever get to be a Jack-O'-Lantern?
